1 June marks International Day for Protection of Children
01.06.2017
Today is the International Day for Protection of Children. Established by the Women’s International Democratic Federation, it’s been observed in many countries since 1949. In Belarus we celebrate 1.5 million young citizens. Last year almost 120,000 babies were born in Belarus. Special attention is paid to orphans. More than 80 percent of them are brought up in families. Today charity events, flash mobs, children's festivals and competitions are running throughout the country.
