World Powerlifting Championships in Minsk

900 athletes from 50 countries. World Classical Powerlifting Championships take place in Minsk Palace of Sports. As the chairman of the International Powerlifting Federation Gaston Paraj noted, the Belarusian Championships is important from the point of view of prospects of including the sport into the Olympic program. Yesterday, on the first day of the competition, the Belarusian team won its first medal - Alexander Moiseyev took silver in the weight category under 59 kg. The competition will last until June 25, and will end with the most spectacular weight categories. On the last day men over 120 kilograms will fight for the title of the best.
