Winter Swimming Cup gathered sportsmen in Polotsk

"Polotsk Font" broke all participation records on the weekend and gathered over 500 people wishing to swim in winter water. The ice on the river did not stop anyone, of course. Athletes from Russia and Belarus competed in the distances of 25, 50, 100 and 200 metres breaststroke and freestyle, as well as in the combined relay. "Zakal-Run", which is a favourite of many, was also held as part of the Cup. Athletes covered several kilometres, and at the finish line they were able to take a dip in the ice hole.
