The summer stage of the Commonwealth Cup in biathlon started in Sochi

The international summer biathlon tournament will last from 4 to 7 September. More than 100 best athletes from Belarus and Russia are taking part in the competition. The tournament opened with a women's 7.5 km sprint race. 49 biathletes took to the start. The entire podium was occupied by Russian athletes. The stage in Sochi is the only one this season that is held on roller skis. The five subsequent stages of the Commonwealth Cup will be held on snow.
