The Ministries of Sports of Belarus and Russia held a joint meeting

Consolidation of athletes from Belarus and Russia will help to cope with the sanctions pressure in sports. This opinion was expressed by the relevant minister of the Russian Federation the day before during a meeting in the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee. According to Oleg Matytsin, the sanctions that were adopted by Western countries and the world community in relation to Belarusian and Russian athletes showed the resilience of the sports sector in each of the countries. The Mogilev region hosts the events of the joint meeting of the boards of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus and the Ministry of Sports of Russia. One of the issues of the joint meeting is the holding of the II Games of the CIS countries in Belarus.
