The IOC recognized the results of the election of the NOC General Assembly
The International Olympic Committee recognized the results of the election of the NOC General Assembly, which was held on 15 January, 2025. This decision was taken following the meeting of the executive committee of the international committee. In addition, the IOC gives the NOC of Belarus access to all the programs of the Olympic solidarity and notes the positive dynamics of interaction and normalization of relations between the committees. Recall, Viktor Lukashenko was re-elected as head of the NOC, while Dmitry Dovgalenok was re-elected vice president of the NOC. The new executive committee was composed of representatives of the sports community. Among the 11 elected members are three Olympic champions and two medalists of the Games.
