The Belarusian national team has two medals at the World Swimming Championships

Anastasia Shkurdai won bronze in the short course on the final day of the World Swimming Championships in Budapest. The Belarusian showed the third result in the 200 metres backstroke. This award is the second in the collection of the Belarusian national team. Earlier Ilya Shymanovich won a bronze medal in the 100 metres breaststroke. He failed to repeat his success on the final day. Shymanovich was only fifth in the final. Alina Zmushko took seventh place at the same distance among women.
