Seven medals taken by Belarusian national team at European Athletics Championships

Seven medals were won by the Belarusian national team at the European Athletics Championships in Berlin. Its final day brought the Belarusian team two gold medals. In the women's marathon, having shown an incredible character, Volha Mazuronak won the 1st place. She personally and all the athletes were congratulated by President Alexander Lukashenko. Today at night the European champion in the 100 meter hurdles Elvira Herman was welcomed at the Minsk national airport, the bronze medalist of the tournament Vitaliy Zhuk also returned home. 3 gold medals, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals allowed the national team of Belarus to take the high 7th place in the overall medal standings, ahead of the strong teams of Spain, the Netherlands, Italy and the Czech Republic.
