13 medals on the first competition day. Belarusian athletes got off to a good start at the International Sambo Tournament for the prizes of the President of Belarus. Eduard Kutsko, Angela Zhilinskaya and Maria Kondratyeva took gold. More than 200 athletes from nine countries — Russia, Germany, Bulgaria, Tajikistan — came to Minsk for the competition. The championship will end today. Athletes will play for ten sets of awards. Qualification bouts started at 10 a.m. Finals will be held at 15:00.
