Metallurg of Zhlobin won Presidential hockey cup

The long-awaited suspense has finally eventuated. The Metallurg players gained victory in the fourth match of the final series against team Brest – 4:0. They won the national trophy for the third time in a row. The team which had been the sixth in the regular season became the country's champion for the first time in history. The Brest hockey players got silver. The season has been the best for the southerners since the club's foundation. The "European Bisons" won the silver medals of the championship of Belarus for the first time in a quarter of a century.
