I.Petrishenko: We are going to keep the bar high

Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko handed medals to the winners of the weightlifting competition. Belarusian Yevgeni Tikhontsov became a silver medalist, while Sergei Sharenkov won a bronze medal. Another bronze medal was taken by weightlifter Andrei Ariamnov. Speaking about the development of sports, Deputy Prime Minister noted that more than 3670 children in Belarus are studying at 53 specialized sports schools. He expressed hope that today's competitions will mobilize our young athletes even more, stimulate them to engage in all kinds of sports, in which athletes are competing these days at the 2nd CIS Games.
