Host of 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship to be announced today
19.05.2017
Today, the host of the 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship will be announced. There are two bidders - the Belarusian-latvian tandem and Finland. Initially, Belarus planned to independently fight for the right to host the planetary hockey forum and hold it at the two ice stadiums of the capital - Minsk Arena and Chizhovka Arena, as it was in 2014. However, in January 2017 it was decided to join forces with Riga, which also has the experience of holding the main hockey tournament. Voting will take place in Cologne. Representatives of 67 national hockey associations will take part in the voting.
