Evgeny Tikhontsov of Belarus wins gold at World Weightlifting Championships

Evgeny Tikhontsov of Belarus has won gold at the World Weightlifting Championships in Pattaya, Thailand. The Belarusian athlete gained 398 kg in total result. The 19-year-old weightlifter has also won two small silver awards. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the athlete. For Team Belarus, this is the first gold is the snatch. So far, Belarus has 4 medals. Earlier, Alexander Bersanov won small silver in the snatch.
