European Men's Handball Championship kicked off

One of the main sport events of January, 2020 European Men's Handball Championship has kicked off in Austria, Norway and Sweden. For the first time, it will feature 24 national teams. Belarus will play in Group A in Austria’s Graz. Their rivals are three Balkan national teams: Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro. For Belarus only handball team have chances to get to the Tokyo Olympic Games in competitive sports. The winner of the championship will secure the direct berth to the Olympics. Two other teams will have to take part in the qualification round.
