Belarusians won silver for the first time at the Beach Soccer World Cup

In the match for the gold medal of the World Championships in Seychelles, the Belarusians lost to the world champions — the Brazilians — with the result 3:4. This is the first such success of Belarusian teams in playing sports. The team was congratulated by the Head of State. A. Lukashenko said: "Your silver is tinged with gold! Congratulations!". The Belarusian national team played in the final stages of the World Championships for the fourth time: in 2024 the Belarusians took fourth place, in 2019 and 2021 failed to make it to the play-offs.
