Belarusian Yahor Damaratski wins gold medal in 5000 meters at Speed Skating Cup of Strongest Athletes

Another gold medal for the Belarusian team at the Speed Skating Cup of Strongest Athletes. Yahor Damaratski left every one of his rivals behind to win the 5000 meters event. Earlier, Maryna Zuyeva also took gold. Ihnat Halavatsiuk and Hanna Damaratskaya won silver medals. The program of the first day of competitions was rounded off with team sprints. The best result among women was secured by the Belarusian trio of Hanna Damaratskaya, Yekatsiaryna Hahiyeva and Sofia Taturevich. On Thursday Minsk Arena will host the 1000 meters and team race events.
