Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka wins US Open starter

Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka won the first round match of the main draw at US Open, the season's fourth Grand Slam tournament. It took her an hour and a half to beat Slovakia's Victoria Kuzhmova with a score of 6-3, 7-5. In the next round, Azarenka will face Daria Gavrilova. This evening Aryna Sabalenka and Alexandra Sasnovich will join the competition on the courts in New York. The day before, another tennis player from Belarus, Vera Lapko, got through the starting round as well.
