Mariya Gnedtchik has made a triumphant start to the modern pentathlon competition season. The athlete won gold at the first stage of the Pavel Lednev Cup, which is being held in Kirov. Another Belarusian, Natalia Savenkova, qualified for the flower ceremony after finishing fifth.
