Belarusian Gennady Laptev wins gold at European Weightlifting Championships

Belarusian weightlifters continue to win medals at the European Weightlifting Championships. In Batumi, on the second day, Gennady Laptev won gold in the double-event in the weight category up to 61 kg. His result is 286 kilograms. In addition, our athlete won small gold in the snatch. Another Belarusian Lyudmila Psychanitsa in weight to 55 kilograms stopped a step away from the pedestal. On the first of the continental forum, Yulia Asayonok became the bronze medalist of the tournament. In the team event Belarus ranks fifth.
