Belarus to host 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship

Belarus will host the 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship. The voting took place today in Cologne. So, the joint bid of Belarus and Latvia defeated Finland. It is planned that Minsk Arena with capacity of 15.000 seats will become the venue for the hockey holiday in Belarus. It should be mentioned that the main matches of the tournament - semifinals and finals will be held in Minsk. Riga will host the group stage matches and quarterfinals.
