Belarus takes first medal at FINA Short Course World Championships

The national swimming team of Belarus took the first medal at the world event in China's Hangzhou. The award was won by Ilya Shimanovich. At Short Course World Championships, the Belarusian came in second in the final 100-meter breaststroke heat. His time is 56.10 seconds. This is also a national record. More than 900 athletes from 178 countries take part in this competition. The World Championships will complete on December 16th.
