Belarus met the winners of the European Youth Championships

The winners of the European Youth Weightlifting Championship were welcomed at Minsk National Airport. The athletes won 23 medals: 2 gold and 5 silver in the clean and jerk combination plus 16 awards in individual exercises. The result is amazing considering the competition, that was in Albania — more than 400 weightlifters from 42 countries. The athletes are currently on a short vacation, and then training camps will begin in December, which will start preparations for the European Championships. It will be held in April in Georgia.
