Belarus clinches first two medals at the FAI World Helicopter Championship
So far, Belarus has clinched two medals (one gold and one bronze) at the 16th FAI World Helicopter Championship which is underway at Borovaya airfield near Minsk. Top rank pilots continue to fight for the title of world champions. The day before, the best in the exercise "Navigation" was determined. This is one of the most difficult disciplines: pilots should calculate the time as accurately as possible and arrive at the finish line at the set time. The length of the route is up to ninety kilometers. The Belarusian team has already won in the parallel fender rigging event. Today the crews will compete in the parallel slalom event. The participants must carry a container with water without splashing it. On Saturday, helicopter races will take place – the most spectacular part of the Championship.
