BATE edge Rosenborg in first leg of UEFA Champions League second qualifying round

FC BATE Borisov defeated Norway’s Rosenborg 2-1 in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. More than 13 thousand fans came to the Borisov Arena to support the Belarusian team, all the tickets were sold out. Igor Stasevich opened the scoring five minutes into the game capitalizing on a penalty opportunity. After a break Maksim Skavysh won it with an outstretched toe. The second leg is due in Trondheim on 31 July.
