Ban on Belarusian athletes lifted

Disqualification of the Belarus men's canoe and kayak team has been recognized as unlawful. Our athletes were banned from the Summer Olympics in Rio, ostensibly on evidence of doping issues. The day before the court of arbitration for sports in Lausanne overturned the decision on disqualification. Belarusian athletes have been acquitted. Quote, "there were no grounds for imposing sanctions on the Belarusian team". Now the Belarusian side intends to file another suit against the International Federation of Rowing and Canoeing requiring compensation for the costs of the team's four-year training period.
