Aryna Sabalenka reaches WTA quarterfinals

Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka reached the quarterfinals of the WTA-1000 tournament in the U.S. Indian Wells with a prize fund of $8.8 million. In the round of last 16 the world’s second racket defeated Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova. Earlier Sabalenka stormed past Russia’s Evgeniya Rodina. The winner of the 2023 Australian Open will now have to face Coco Gauff from USA in a bid to get through to the finals.
