Aryna Sabalenka into Connecticut Open quarterfinal

Belarus’ tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has advanced to the quarterfinal of the 2018 Connecticut Open in New Haven. In the round of Last 16 the Belarusian battled through Australia’s Daria Gavrilova. The match lasted for almost three hours. Aryna Sabalenka will next face Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic. Today Belarus’ Olga Govortsova will play France’s Fiona Ferro in the second qualifying round of the 2018 US Open. In the men’s event Egor Gerasimov will take on Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, while Vladimir Ignatik will play UK’s Liam Broady.
