On the final day of the Commonwealth Biathlon Cup in Murmansk, in the mass start race, the captain of the Belarusian national team and Olympic medalist finished third and was able to maintain the lead in the general classification, beating the titled Russian biathlete Eduard Latypov. Thus, Smolsky took revenge for last season, when due to illness he was unable to compete in the final races. The Belarusian national team will take a short break and begin pre-season work in mid-May.
