Belarusian Anton Smolski won the sprint race at the second stage of the Russian Biathlon Cup, which started in Khanty-Mansiysk. 64 biathletes took part in the men's 10-kilometer sprint race. The leader of the Belarusian team shot cleanly at both firing lines and was one of the fastest on the distance. At the finish Smolski won 0.3 seconds over Eduard Latypov fr om Bashkortostan. Daniil Serokhvostov of Novosibirsk Region took 3rd place. Earlier, the women's sprint was held, wh ere the best of the Belarusian women was Dzinara Smolskaya, who took 6th place.
