In the first semifinal match, the world's number one tennis player defeated Ukraine's Elina Svitolina, ranked 12th in the world, in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. The match lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes. At the current tournament, Aryna Sabalenka also defeated France's Tianzoa Rakotomanga, China's Zhu Xiang Bai, Austria's Anastasia Potapova, Canada's Victoria Mboko, and American tennis player Iva Jovic, all without dropping a single set. Aryna Sabalenka won the Australian Open twice in a row (2023, 2024), but last year she lost to American Madison Keys in the final.
