2025 IBU World Championships may take place in Raubichi

Raubichi winter sports center have excellent chances of hosting the 2025 IBU World Championships. This was stated by Minister of Sport and Tourism of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk. The International Biathlon Union invited Belarus to participate in the bidding after the successful European Championships this year. In a snowless winter, Raubichi were able to perfectly cope with the preparation of the track. Belarus' Raubichi, Switzerland's Lenzerheide and Czechia's Nove Mesto intend to compete for hosting the world biathlon championships in 2025. The decision will be made at the next IBU Congress to be held in Prague in November.
