16th Christmas hockey tournament kicks off in Minsk

16th Christmas international hockey tournament for the prize of the President of Belarus kicks off at Chizhovka Arena. 5 days of competitions are ahead. This year, 12 teams divided into 4 groups will compete for the victory. The newcomer of the tournament is the USA team. Hockey players from China were the first to arrive in Minsk, even before the New Year. The day before the rest of the competitors arrived. Today in the first match the teams of Ukraine and Switzerland will play. And in the opening match, the team of the President of Belarus will play against the team of the International Hockey Federation. Young hockey amateurs will also fight for the title of the best. According to established tradition, along with the international Christmas tournament, the final stage of the National Golden Puck hockey competitions among children and teenagers will be held.
