Venezuelan Christmas at the Pushkin Library
18.12.2025
The atmosphere of a Venezuelan Christmas permeates the Pushkin Library — the music, customs, and dishes of one of the most important holidays of the year. Family traditions in Venezuela are passed down through generations, and Christmas is celebrated there from October to early February. A festive event brought together Latin American culture enthusiasts at the Pushkin Regional Library in Minsk. Belarusian students, teachers, and library visitors participated in a master class on making the Christmas meatloaf "Pan de Jamón," along with staff from the Venezuelan Embassy. Traditional Venezuelan dishes include drinks made with cane sugar and lemon. Christmas in Venezuela is a blend of Christian customs and distinctive folk elements.
