05.01.2026
The satellites were developed by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. At the end of December they were launched by a Soyuz launch vehicle. The devices were placed in the calculated orbit at an altitude of 510 km. All on-board systems are operating normally. Specialists have taken control of the satellites and are continuing its flight tests. One of the devices will provide advance warning of magnetic storms. As for the second satellite, it will help to obtain more accurate data on thermal anomalies, for example, forest fires in Belarus and neighboring countries.
