29.01.2026
This tourist attraction is important not only for the district center but for the entire region. It is designated a historical and cultural heritage site and is part of the "Golden Ring of Gomel" route. It is a unique monument of classical architecture with Gothic elements. The town hall building, with its pointed arches and five towers, was built on the orders of its previous owner, Count Chernyshev. At various times, it housed the city government, a pharmacy, and an educational institution. For the past 20 years, it has housed a historical and ethnographic museum. The town hall's reconstruction lasted two years. Restorers preserved the building's historical and cultural features as much as possible.
