The reward has found its hero

The medal "For Bravery" of the Red Army soldier, who died in the winter of 44 in the battles near Vitebsk, was handed over to his relatives. The ceremony took place in the State Duma during a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly's Commission on the Preservation and Protection of Historical Memory. The medal was discovered during a Belarusian-Russian search expedition that took place in August this year near Vitebsk. Military personnel, cadets of the Moscow, Vitebsk and Polotsk schools, as well as schoolchildren and students from Belarus and Russia participated in the work.
