21.11.2025
82 years later, the descendants found their hero, Petr Panasyuk, who was considered to be buried in a mass grave in 1943. Thanks to search engines and archivists, his remains were reburied at the Brest garrison cemetery. And it all started with the discovery of a plastic box with the name Panasyuk. The results of the joint work of the Central Archive of the Russia's Defense Ministry, the State Archive of the Brest Oblast, the regional military enlistment office and Belarusian search engines are invaluable data for the hero's relatives.
