The number of labour migrants is growing in Belarus

More than half of them are citizens of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. There is an influx of labour from India and Nepal. Men predominate among foreigners working in Belarus, most of them are employed in working professions. Approximately 70% of migrant workers are in Minsk and the Minsk Oblast. The shortage of personnel is most acute in these regions. Migrants in Belarus are attracted by economic growth, wages, and a favorable social climate. The country has simplified foreigners' access to the labour market, and it is possible to get a job right at the workplace. In addition, preferential conditions apply to EAEU citizens.
