The Minister of Internal Affairs presented the officers with colonel's shoulder straps

A ceremonial presentation of shoulder straps to law enforcement officers took place in the Victory Hall of the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. The officers received their new ranks personally from Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov. Police officers from across the country, along with veterans of the police force and representatives of the younger generation, arrived in Minsk. As the head of the police department emphasized, the rank of colonel is the result of the work of not only the officer himself but also his entire family.
