The leasing market in Belarus is preparing for renewal
22.01.2026
The
parliamentarians, together with the National Bank and the Ministry of Economy,
are preparing the first law in the country's history "On leasing
activities". Its goal is not just to regulate the industry, but also to better
protect the rights of hundreds of thousands of citizens. After all, every
fourth lessee is an individual. At the meeting of the commission of the Council
of the Republic, specific measures that would help protect people from
excessive rates and fines were discussed and how this would stimulate purchases
of domestic goods. It is expected that the draft law will be adopted in the
second reading in the near future.
