The fifth edition of the Red Data Book of Belarus was presented in Minsk

The public presentation of the fifth edition of the Red Data Book of the Republic of Belarus took place at the National Library in Minsk. The new edition consists of two volumes. Each contains photographs and maps of the distribution of rare animal and plant species in the country. In addition, there is a brief description, information on habitats, abundance, and trends, as well as key threats and conservation measures. Special attention is paid to the study of bryophytes, algae, lichens, and fungi. Currently, 523 plant and animal species are listed in the Red Book of Belarus.
