The families of the first newborns in 2026 received gifts from the President

The first day of 2026 was given to the country by 76 Belarusians. In the first few minutes, five babies were born — 1 boy and 4 girls. This happened in Vitebsk, Grodno, Lida and Mogilev. By good tradition, such families receive congratulations and gifts on behalf of the President. In Minsk, the first child appeared in maternity hospital 6 of the city clinical hospital. The press secretary of the President, the Minister of Health and the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee came directly to the maternity hospital with gifts from the head of state. A total of 39 girls and 37 boys were born on 1 January.
