The Constitutional Court adopted an address to the President and the National Assembly on the state of constitutional legitimacy in Belarus
The Address includes an analysis of the state of constitutional legitimacy and constitutional order in Belarus from the perspective of ensuring constitutional values and institutions such as the protection of the constitutional order, the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens guaranteed by the Constitution, and the supremacy of the Constitution. This was stated by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court S. Sivets while delivering the Address to the President and the National Assembly. It is noted that the level of constitutional legitimacy and order in Belarus allows full implementation of these fundamental values, allows full protection and guarantee of the realization of fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, and ensures the supremacy of the Constitution. In the concluding section of the Address, the Constitutional Court expressed its opinion on the need for proactive law-making.
