The "Christmas trees to splinters" campaign is being held in the capital
08.01.2026
The capital offers an environmentally friendly way to complete the New Year holidays. As part of the traditional action "Christmas trees to splinters" Minsk residents will be able to transfer used live Christmas trees. You can rent Christmas trees, pines and fir trees from 18 January to 25 January. There are approximately 920 reception points throughout the city. Special garbage trucks will pick up the trees from there. All collected trees will be sent for processing into wood chips and compost. Minsk residents' interest in the action is growing every year. If in 2024 almost 9.000 tonnes of trees were harvested, then in 2025 — about 15.000.
