The Belarusian Antarctic Expedition has started to carry out scientific research

The participants of the 18th Belarusian Antarctic Expedition successfully reached the field base and began to carry out scientific research and set tasks. Key life support systems have been deployed, and satellite communications have been established. At the Gora Vechernyaya station, the Belarusian team will conduct research in eight areas. These are atmospheric physics and monitoring of its ozone layer, biology and microbiology, geophysics, geology, cryology. The data obtained will be used both for work on the Ice Continent and the Far North, as well as for monitoring the health of astronauts. For the first time in the history of the Belarusian Antarctic Expeditions, the international satellite Belarus 24 TV channel has been set up at the Gora Vechernyaya station.
