Environmental issues are becoming increasingly relevant to society. Summing up the observations of the state of atmospheric air, surface waters and soils provides an actual assessment of environmental safety in Belarus. In the country, in most industrial cities, the atmosphere and air pollution level are moderate, and the situation is safe. Special attention is also paid to radiation monitoring. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Accident.
