26.02.2026
An expanded meeting of the republican commission for conducting an assessment of symbols, attributes and information products was held in the capital. During the meeting, it was noted that more than 200 publications were checked in 2025. Six entities were held accountable for illegal business activities. Special attention is paid to combating extremism. The list of banned materials includes 9.085 items, of which more than 2.000 materials have been added in the last 12 months alone. According to the new rules, as of 1 January 2026, individual entrepreneurs are no longer allowed to engage in publishing activities, only in the retail sale of newspapers. Violators will be subject to fines.
