Large-scale civil defense exercises are underway at the Ministry for Emergency Situations training ground near Borisov
21.10.2025
A wide range of tasks are being practiced: from responding to crises and protecting the population to ensuring the operation of critical infrastructure during massive utility outages. One of the most impressive and technically challenging episodes of the exercise was rehearsing rescue operations in the face of massive destruction, allegedly caused by a drone attack. The personnel of the Ministry for Emergency Situations searched for victims using dog handlers and specialized equipment, performed a rescue operation, transferred simulated wounded to medics, and practiced responding to an explosion and fire. Rescuers also successfully evacuated people from the danger zone, including using an MI-8 helicopter.
