Innovations in the law on personal data protection are being prepared in Belarus
11.02.2026
In August the Council of Ministers will be presented with innovations in the draft law on personal data protection. Attention will be paid to issues of video surveillance and audio recording. It is planned to establish prohibitions on filming in places that belong to a person's private sphere. It will also address the risks associated with artificial intelligence, including the spread of deepfakes and digital attacks on individuals. The law will reflect a number of issues related to the processing of personal data without the person's consent.
