In Belarus vacant houses and land plots are being involved in economic circulation
In Belarus efforts are being intensified to involve vacant houses and land plots in economic circulation. Changes are being made to the Land Code. A number of innovations have been introduced related to the legalization of land plots. Additionally, since the beginning of 2026, the geoportal of State Committee on Property has been operational. Information about real estate can be obtained online without unnecessary requests. The Unified Property Register contains information about nearly 30.000 vacant land plots. In Belarus there are also vacant buildings for sale, where it is possible to open a production facility, for example, or to purchase old manor houses and even buildings with historical and cultural value for tourism development.
